Whenever I review a casino here at DashTickets, I sign up and actually play at the site – so, of course, that’s exactly what I did with BillyBets Casino. First impressions were solid, even if the site does look a little dated; I think it’s a deliberate design-choice, however. Now, while the payment method selection is solid, the NZ$40 minimum deposit is the one thing I’d flag here. It’s not this high for all payment methods, but it is for a lot of them – and this is going to price-out quite a few lower-staking players I reckon.
As mentioned, I deposited NZ$50 using USDT, and I decided to claim the welcome bonus; a 100% match on my first deposit + 200 free spins. One thing to know: the free spins aren’t all delivered at once, so you actually get 20 per day for 10 days. You need to actively claim each batch, too, and you only have 24 hours to do so – or they expire. That’s a bit of a pain, and I’d rather they were just credited all at once. That said, the spins I did get worked perfectly, and the games themselves loaded quickly with no lag.
The game library is solid, too. I spent most of my time in the pokies section, and there’s a huge selection to choose from – hosted by well over 100 providers. Unfortunately, from the “VIP” page, I couldn’t find much specific information, and BillyBets keeps things a little vague. I suspect it works like pretty much every loyalty programme out there, however, as I can see “Level 1” at the top of the screen, and could browse up to Level 5 – so it’s a points-based system, at least.
